Brocacef Group is a group of companies active in healthcare. Its activities include distributing medicines and medical products, as well as developing and implementing pharmacy and pharmaceutical care concepts. Brocacef Group comprises several companies with approximately 5,300 employees who work every day to support people’s health. Through its Brocacef and BENU brands, the organisation offers advice on healthy living, appropriate medication, self-care products and medical devices. Highly available data environment
We carry out various data projects for Brocacef. One of the most important involves setting up, migrating and managing a virtualised Oracle Database Appliance High Availability (ODA-HA) environment. This includes an ODA-HA for the JD Edwards environment, Oracle VM and Oracle Linux, as well as configuring the Oracle database, including backup & recovery and monitoring. Two ODAs are operational, hosting a large number of databases.
These databases form the core of key applications that support the continuity of Brocacef’s processes, including those for BENU and Mediq pharmacies. As part of our ongoing management, we continually optimise the platform and improve its performance. We also manage the ODAs. Our work covers databases, host backups and monitoring. We aim to ensure availability and reliability and provide 24/7 support when needed.
