Oracle has asked our CTO Lucas Jellema to write a series of articles about OCI. In this series, Lucas explains how to use the Go programming language (also known as Golang) with and on Oracle Cloud.
These articles provide a practical guide to running Go technologies on OCI and interacting with OCI services from Go. They also include practical examples and working code to help you get started straight away.
Read the five articles here:
What is OCI?
OCI stands for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle’s public cloud. Alongside Oracle Database, OCI offers the full range of IaaS and PaaS services you would expect from other major cloud providers, from compute and storage to managed Kubernetes, data pipelines and messaging.
Lucas and Oracle
Lucas has been working with Oracle technology since 1994, and AMIS since 1991. Oracle has recognised him as one of a select group of ACE Directors: professionals who share knowledge within the community about how to make the best use of Oracle technology. Alongside his many conference presentations, the AMIS Technology Blog (technology.amis.nl) is an important channel for sharing his expertise. After seeing several articles on the blog about using Go with Oracle Cloud, the Oracle DevRel (Developer Relations) team asked Lucas to write this much more comprehensive series to guide Go developers through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
"If you’ve ever wanted to explore OCI using Go, this article series is a great place to start."
