AMIS team welcomes young talent and experienced professionals

News

The AMIS team has welcomed six new colleagues, bringing together experience and young talent.

AMIS is doing well, so we are always looking for the best people in the market. Ideally, they bring years of experience in the technologies we work with. But we also invest in young talent, training them ourselves to become junior integration specialists. Six new colleagues have joined AMIS recently. We would love to introduce them to you.

TALENT LAUNCH

Two of our new colleagues joined this year’s second Talent Launch programme on 3 September. This is where we nurture young, ambitious talent. In two months, we prepare them for the role of integration specialist. An IT qualification is not a requirement, but an affinity with IT certainly is! The participants’ backgrounds reflect this.

Rosanna Denis completed a master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences at Utrecht University, with a minor in Computational Structural Biology. This sparked her interest in IT, leading her to choose the technical traineeship at AMIS.

Jim Botman completed a bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. He also took part in Harvard’s Computer Science 50 programme. His interest in IT, analytical skills and enthusiasm make him an ideal Talent Launch participant too.

You can find out more about Talent Launch and the experiences of previous participants on our website.

EXPERIENCE

Alongside the two young talents, three experienced professionals have also joined the team.

Cha Liang Chu is no stranger to AMIS. He previously participated in Talent Launch through IVO, the IT department of the Dutch Council for the Judiciary. Keen to work with other technologies too, he has now chosen to join AMIS as a Mid-level Integration Specialist.

Ron Hendriks has joined as a Technical Consultant and will primarily focus on designing and implementing IoT solutions. Ron joins us from Siemens, where he worked as a Technical Manager for four years. In this role, he gained extensive knowledge and experience in using and integrating sensor data.

Germer Meijerink joins us from VANAD, where he worked as an Integration Consultant. At AMIS, Germer will focus on connecting business and technology as an integration consultant and/or team lead.

INTERN

Sam Vruggink joined AMIS as an intern on 3 September. Sam studies Software & Information Engineering at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Until the end of this year, he will research IoT reference architectures based on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Gertjan van het Hof will supervise him during his internship.

ARE YOU OUR NEXT COLLEAGUE?

We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues and wish them every success! We are also looking for more people to join AMIS. We use every channel available to connect with the right people: our own networks, LinkedIn, social media, word of mouth and, of course, our website. You can also contact Marcel Bargeman directly if you think you could be our next colleague.
