The challenges of and experiences with IoT: a knowledge session with a strong practical focus. The session will be led by colleagues from Conclusion and IoT.nxt.
We see that most IoT projects stall at the ‘proof of concept’ stage because there is insufficient knowledge and experience to take the next step. Over the past few years, Conclusion and technology partner IoT.nxt have gained extensive experience implementing large IoT projects at industrial organisations. They are keen to share this knowledge. So, are you considering implementing IoT or scaling up an existing implementation, and want to avoid common pitfalls? Then this technical session is a MUST!
"The biggest problem to industrial IoT is legacy equipment in the field, non-standardized protocols and the fact that there is no horizontal integration platform that brings all of this together, especially not something that can do bi-directional communication back into the edge and have these subsystems interoperate."
Jim Fletcher
CTO IBM Watson (June 2017)
There are currently as many as 450 IoT platforms available, and more than 1,000 vendors offer devices, sensors and solutions. It is easy to lose sight of the bigger picture! Most systems cannot be adapted and therefore meet only some of your digital requirements. So how do you ensure your IoT needs are met, both now and in the future?
During this technical knowledge session, we will share our views on data processing, storage, integration, security and cloud implementation. We will show you what happens under the hood of our digital solutions. Through demonstrations of best practices, we will explain how we have connected legacy devices and machines to the world of IoT and Industry 4.0.
The session will be held in English.
We want this to be an interactive session. To help us prepare, we invite all participants to share their use case in advance.
