Resilience and progress
Drought and soil conditions posed a
challenge, but nature is showing its
resilience. Beech trees have been
replanted, ditches have been filled to
retain water, and the marshland is
reviving – even spoonbills are returning.
The forest is developing into an inspiring
model project that shows how quickly you
can make an impact. Provinces,
organisations and partners are visiting the
area to learn from this approach.
Biodiversity is under pressure worldwide, and the loss is particularly severe in the Netherlands. Yet for many organisations, the importance of biodiversity remains abstract and difficult to translate into concrete action. Healthy ecosystems are essential for our well-being and our economy, but data and knowledge are often lacking. Technology and collaboration with ecological experts offer a solution: by raising awareness and taking small, smart steps, companies can actively contribute to restoring biodiversity and strengthening their own resilience.
Climate benefits: Trees store CO₂ and cool the air by up to 10 degrees on hot days.
More life: The more trees there are, the richer the biodiversity of plants, birds and insects.
Healthy environment: A single tree produces more than 100 kilograms of oxygen per year. Trees provide us with water, food and clean air.
Long-term partnership with impact
In 2022, we entered into a long-term partnership with Trees for All. Our collaboration began in February with the planting of 29,000 trees in the Zeezuiper nature reserve for the Conclusion Impact Forest.
We remain committed to activities related to the Zeezuiper, to new donation projects in the United Kingdom and abroad, we offer tree donations for special occasions, and we use our exper tise to support Trees for All in achieving their goals, such as the AI Lab for biodiversity.
AI and biodiversity:
The Conclusion Impact Forest as a living laboratory
How do you make biodiversity measurable and tangible? In the Conclusion Impact Forest, we combine nature restoration with the smart use of data and AI. Together with Trees for All and Brabants Landschap, we are working on a future-proof ecosystem and building knowledge that helps organisations make their ecological impact concrete. Discover how technology and nature reinforce each other in this inspiring project.
There is a growing awareness that biodiversity is important for the quality of our living environment. AI is surprisingly effective at mapping biodiversity, as demonstrated by the Conclusion Impact Forest near Bergen op Zoom.
It all started in 2022, when Conclusion joined forces with Trees for All and Brabants Landschap for a long-term collaboration and together launched the Impact Forest. The aim was to increase local biodiversity with a variety of trees, grasses and microhabitats.
